Last May/June I was in WA exploring some of the Kimberley for the first time, enjoying new experiences like a swim in the beautiful but freezing cold pool at the Lake Argyle campground 💚

This year I've had major surgery for breast cancer and have a second smaller surgery coming up. It's been the hardest journey I've ever had to do but it will be over soon, and I cannot wait to focus on as much travel as possible!

This isn't a post I wanted to write, but I think it's important I share that I was diagnosed with breast cancer in December. This means that 2024 has been, and will be, mainly focused on my recovery - my health and healing.

At the same time, to keep me inspired for the future, I am spending a lot of time day dreaming about the many new travel adventures I believe are ahead! 💖

When I was in Kenya a few months ago I was lucky enough to visit Kazuri, a shop that produces beautiful beads. Kazuri means 'small and beautiful' in Swahili, they only employ local women and everything is handmade💜.

Lake Argyle was my favourite campground. It has the most stunning pool, it was VERY cold, but I was extremely happy I got in🙂. The cruise on the lake itself was also a fantastic experience.
